Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but if Noel headlined (or performed high up the bill somewhere) would it be just his solo stuff or would it be a heavy mix of Oasis stuff too?

He played 6/7 Oasis covers when he subbed V and T and did a few more at his solo gigs so he'd definitely do Oasis songs. Doubt he'll play as many this time round as he'll have 2 solo albums to choose from as well as a few Oasis songs.

I think this talk of Noel's ego is a bit out of sync. While he does have great banter if you listen to some of his interviews around his subbing festival sets last time round he said he thought it would take longer to reach the level he did with his solo stuff. He only subbed the majority of fests coz it was to the Stone Roses and they requested him.

If the merry band of mumford's could headline - I'd say noel could too...

I don't quite see where this sudden "he's a headliner" talk has come from.

Yes he's big but he's not big enough to pull off a headline slot yet, even with another album he's still "one of the oasis brothers".

Maybe if this second album is huge il change my mind.

sub, definitely. much like Jack White couldn't headline whereas White Stripes did. until an artist truly breaks away from their former glories they'll remain a non-headliner, and you can be damn sure Noel's set would be chock full of Oasis songs. why waste a headline set full of Oasis songs on Noel when the actual Oasis will no doubt reform to do it in a few years?

Whilst I do completely agree, I think that if the Eavii are strugling for a headliner. He could well be an option.
