Life Is Beautiful - Las Vegas

I'm off to Life Is Beautiful festival in Las Vegas in a couple of weeks time with some mates. Don't suppose anyone else from the UK is going and up for a drink or two?

I'm just going to get a day ticket for the Foo Fighters/Arctic monkeys day. Should be a good day, looks like it's pretty much in the middle of downtown too so really well located (I get the impression that it's behind El Cortez on East Freemont).

Have you been to Vegas before?

Never been before and hugely excited to be coming. Fly in on the 21st and out again on the 29th. Staying at the Hard Rock which is quite a way from the site isn't it? Best to get a taxi do you think?

Hard Rock have a free shuttle that runs to Fashion Show mall, so at least on the way to the festival you could take the shuttle to the Strip then get the bus to downtown. Coming back would be a bus to the strip then a cab I suppose. I have used the Hard Rock shuttle, but only in the day and it stops running before the festival ends (or you could get to the strip then walk through SLS, formerly the Sahara and get a bus on Paradise which will take you past Hard Rock). Hard Rock is walkable from the strip but its a long way so better not to bother, even though cabs in Vegas are expensive.

Vegas is brilliant, I love it. The first time you see it all lit up it just blows your mind.Been going for 12 years so if you have any questions, just post on here and I will do my best to answer.

Already booked Vegas for this year and the dates don't match up so going to miss out I'm afraid. Good event though, really well organised and the setting is very different from anything I have ever seen before, what with it being in the heart of downtown and all
