CaledonianGonzo
hehe, my post was supposed to be a sort of compliment, I guess, but it came out wrong. There's a huge wealth of vital, exciting music being produced at the moment, an absolute bundle of fantastic, urgent, interesting stuff being released, god alone knows why anyone would want to see this throwback stuff from 20+ years ago, but of they do, I suppose he's no worse thna many of the others The devil's advocate response to this is: why should someone with a proven track record and a substantial back catalogue of well-known material automatically step aside to make way for untested debutantes with thinner bodies of work and way less experience in entertaining large numbers of people? This isn't necessarily to defend L. Richie, who I'm pretty indifferent to. Happily, Glasto has space for both newer and more veteran performers, and I don't think that canning the Legends Slot would massively improve the fest as it stands.
