Heads up: Glastonbury radio programme on Sunday night

I don't normally go in for Glastobating, but I'm making an exception for this which is likely to be entertaining in it's own right.

Jon Ronson is vaguely reminiscent of Louis Theroux in that he tackles all sorts of (often dark) topics with a naive enthusiasm. On Sunday at 11.30pm Radio 4Extra are starting a repeat of a 2-parter he made at Glastonbury 2007. I found 2007 was grim throughout but built up to a crescendo of grimness on the Sunday night - should make for an entertaining show.

..."a crescendo of grimness" is just brilliant and I am going to be nicking that phrase :)

The Who followed by Bill Bailey and my waterproofs finally gave out. One pop stud tore away and through that tiny, tiny hole I got drenched about 10 minutes before the bewiderbeast finished. I'd already done the take everything back to the car early Sunday thing so was left on Monday with just a pair of shorts that were dry to dismantle my tent in the awfully grey weather.

I am actually wearing my 2007 T-shirt as I type this. The brown one with the usual Glastonbury T-shirt font on it. It is way too thick for the closeness of the weather at the moment.

To stay on thread, Jon Ronson is a very interesting journalist. I recommend Adventures With Extremists, and if you can find the interview he did with Dennis Healey for Secret Rulers Of The World, well it's just brilliant.

"Look, you FUCKING STUPID BOY!"

Part 2 of this is on tonight.

(Part 1 had a lot more info than I'd expected: e,g, interviews with Roy Gurvitz et al. giving an as-it-happened record on the collapse of the old Lost Vagueness set-up. Brought back memories, as I'd got talking to a bloke in the strangely-unfurnished Lost Vagueness Diner who'd driven a big truck full of dodgems etc. onto site, but it had never been unloaded due to the bust-up.)
