whats the deal with alcohol?

yo, this is my first time going to bestival. i've been to readng three times in a row, and you can always buy booze from the tescos over the weekend and bring it back to the site and its cool. but on the bestival site it says you can only bring booze when you first enter? are they serious or what?

it's more of a guideline, i went back for another crate after first entry last year, but i had to queue up in the long queue again.

Last year I took 2 boxes of 12 in and had an argument with the security because it was 2 crates, despite 24 being the assumed crate size! I would be amazed if they let people in on 2nd entry with booze. I would say take all booze in first, you may not get lucky so not worth the risk

I have never had any trouble taking in 6 litres of scrumpy, 3 litres of wine and 1.5 litres of gin. They don't actually check if it's in your bags.

Hi would you be willing to sell them one way for £35 each? (£70 total)

We're interested in the Friday travel but need to come back Sunday night so would only have use for the one way. I know it's a long shot but I figured if you haven't had any other interest you wouldn't be losing all your money this way!

I could be wrong but i think where you camp plays a big part. We upgraded to Wild Copse this year and see people walking crates through on their shoulders not only on the Saturday but Sunday too. Friday morning going in they didn't even look at us. The guys next to us needed a taxi to get theirs in. I'm not joking it was a wheelie bin full off alcohol.
