Thorogood

and no mention of The Destroyers either...

I've never seen him and wouldn't walk up and pay to see him on his own, but I always remember that he went down a treat at Live Aid back in the day, I recall he brought some blues legends to play with him. if he were on the West Holts field midday I'd definitely stop by

Bad to the Bone...dreadful song. Gear Jammer much better...

surely he hasn't been to the UK for ages though?? i think of him as a "US state fair" type of act now.

I've seen him a few times, and have a couple of his early albums. I hardly ever play his music, but live, he's always been fantastic

what is a US State Fair type of act? ...

White America drinking shit beer and eating chili dogs in the middle of the day before getting home to bed by 10pm.

Never seen him but I have some of his stuff. Honky cartoon blues really. In a lot of ways, through no fault of his own, he represents white Americas fear of the black man. Record label owners went "You want the the blues? OK. Heres some middle class guy from Delaware. Listen to him."

Most of his well known songs are awful cover versions.

Heres one of his better known self penned tunes. Just shit.
