Big tent vs Little tent

Hi first time at EOTR and I have a choice of small three person tent or family size big tent, which is my girlfriends preference. We are planning to arrive when the campsites open, in terms of campsite space, is there a fair amount of room for a biggish tent or are the tents squashed together Glastonbury style.

Have sympathy for my girlfriend's tent preference, at Glastonbury this year she got a tent peg through her foot as soon as we put up the smaller tent so we got to enjoy about ten minutes of Glastonbury. She is determined to enjoy a festival this year and would prefer to do it in a bigger tent and the other one is obviously hexed.

You should have no problem finding a decent space. We take a 4 man family tent for 2 of us. My days of slumming it are long gone.

Loads of room, so please don't do what one family did and decide to pitch "Glasto style" right against our tent one year, with a whole field available to them in the other direction :-)

Our tent is huge this year, bigger even than the monstrosity we've had in the past. Never had a problem with space, but we also tend to get there early.

Never been to EOTR but as a general observation having a tent with a decent central communal area where you can stand up or sit and chat makes a big difference. So go for the biggie.
