guypjfreak
so i reckon its gonna be the 5th oct at 9 am and i think they will do a coach sale first again imo ....and i wish every one good luck including my self lol . The one thing i REALLY REALLY hope and think they should do is to cancel the reopening of the registration after Tday has gone ...i believe if you haven't registered by the time tix go on sale then unlucky youve had a year for christ sack and at least the tix in the resale will go to people that HAVE bothered . any way thats my thoughts ?? dentalplan
You'll be right about T day. I disagree about closing the registration though as it'd be careless of GFL to believe it'll sell out no matter what, so if there's a surplus but not enough registered people want to go then they'd be buggered. guypjfreak
glastonbury is always over registered old son you have a year to get your self registered IF you really want to go and i believe quite a few people dont get tix in the resale because after the first sale the rumours about the headlines are already known [ 99%] so then people think AHHH ie. PEARL JAM [ i wish lol ] and get registered and that in turns means that the people that have been sorted all year then have a whole new batch of punters to fight against for tickets ..... i believe this is wrong ........if you cant sort it in a year unlucky old son happy sat all btw
UEF
Site has been updated this morning to show registration deadline of 30th September which would seem to provide the required amount of lag to process and approve details before the following Sunday - 5th Octoberhttp://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/information/tickets/ticket-info/#BASICINFO
guypjfreak
yea but thell still reopen it after 5th oct .....thats what i disagree with !!
kalifire
So you're proposing a registration window of about four months of the year, then? From when the very last tickets sell in around May until September. That doesn't strike me as particularly fair. This new registration deadline is about as sure as we'll get that T-day will be 5/10/14 until they announce it. I get anxious just thinking about it. The prospect of this happening is terrible, but the moment you bring up the booking screen on a random F5 hit is one of the best moments of the year. UEF
yea but thell still reopen it after 5th oct .....thats what i disagree with !!You have to see it less as a "reopening of registration" and more of a "pause in the middle of registration"The pause is in there because photos have to be uploaded, checked, approved or declined. If you could do this right up to and including on the day of sale there would be more furrowed brows and gnashing of teeth than we get already.People are like sheep, you have to herd them in numbers! UEF
Well when would you suggest people could register for next year from? They could be registering for the resale, or registering early? At the end of the day the festival needs to sell out, which is an assumption we take for granted these days but could go away without too much trouble as it has in previous years. LondonTom
People are like sheep, you have to herd them in numbers! Anyway, yes it seems it will once again be the first Sunday in October, and no registration shouldn't close up for those not registered for the main sale. What if you was a bit broke, so didn't bother but got a new sw*nky job and could afford to go by the time resale came around? Or you found out on ticket your reg had expired/didn't work etc....you then don't have a 2nd chance.
kalifire
Is there way to update your registration photo without having to re-register?

guypjfreak
it doesnt cost ANYTHING to get your self registered and now that reg is carried over for years so you dont even have to do it every year ...my point is and always will be is this ... once the first sale in oct has been and gone then i think it only people that are ALREADY registered can then have the chance of purchasing a tix in resale . i spoke to quite a few people that got tix in resale after they had heard the rumours about the line up and they thought ok ill register and go to glasto ..........fair play to them BUT i also know of people [ some on here ] that had been ready and registered that didnt get a tix for the festival .......now if you think thats fair old sons then your bonkers .....................imo lol its not elitist its being organised and really wanting to go ...rant over lol morning all
LondonTom
its not elitist its being organised and really wanting to go ...rant over lol Yes it is, its closing the window for someone who may not have realised the sale was in October or they had to register. Its easy for us, we already a part of it...I wouldn't want the festival to start becoming a closed group despite moaning about the hunter welly brigade and such. (Which it would.) Thearg
I think the closing of registration a week before T day catches a lot of people out,I reminded one group who said they wanted to go but didn't heed my words so couldn't get tickets. There must be a lot of people who hear on the radio etc about tickets going on sale only to find they can't buy them. Ticket day would be a lot harder without registration. UEF
That aspect at least helps filter out people who aren't at least somewhat planning to go... I do like that.

ivan
I know people that " so so want to go to Glastonbury " Do they find out how to get tickets ? Do they register ? Do they get their shit together ? No ! Then the week before when Radio 1 , BBC and the likes of Grazia start mentioning it "They so want to go !
