Getting Wristband on Friday Morning

Afternoon folks. We have weekend tickets, but we're staying away from the site and won't be arriving until Friday morning - are there normally large queues to exchange tickets for wristbands? I don't want to arrive half an hour before the first band are on but end up queuing for a wristband for 2 hours... Any particular gate we should head for?

Cheers!

I can't speak for Friday morning but I tend to arrive onsite early afternoon and there's never been a queue at the Richfield Avenue entrance or the entrance by the Thames. In fact on most occasions I've been the only one getting a wristband at that time.

The gate by the river is usually a better option that the one on Richfield Avenue, as most people go to that one as it's the first one they come to. Even though most of the weekenders will already be in I don't think the queues are split at first so you'll have to queue with all the with daytrippers. I give it at least an hour to get through and get to the arena.

As you have weekend tickets, you shouldn't have any problems with queues on the Friday morning.

We arrive on Friday each year and there's usually a queue for day ticket holders, but weekenders breeze right through to the separate wristbanding point. That's at the Richfield Avenue entrance, the first one you hit walking up from the train station.

More of an issue is the walk from the entrance to the arena. It always seems to take forever!
