I have a she wee but I'm a bit concerned about needing a wee at night! Never been a problem before but the last few months I keep getting up in the night.

So what do you use in the tent? I'm sharing the tent so I don't particularly fancy a portable toilet type thing, was thinking more discreet.

I've seen this but lots of the reviews say it leaks:

I also have a she wee but don't fancy pissing in a bottle if it can be avoided! I want something designed for purpose.

I also looked at those travel johns and they're very expensive considering I just want something to pee in.

So is there anything else I haven't see but should check out?

I used travel johns - got a job lot on amazon. Knowing I have them makes me want to go less! You could just use one of these for £1.95 - has a lid

I find the bit at the back makes all the difference! Also means you can keep trousers on and use the zip :)

Only had to use two in the end! Once in the tent - initial aim being the hardest part! Better with sheewee I would imagine. Second time during the stones, under my mac :O no-one knew... Particularly not my son who would have disowned me! Loads of capacity, apparently you can reuse/refill but not sure id have the nerve!

What about going within a crowd? It must happen, especially those people who park themselves down the front and won't leave their beloved spot. How do they do it? Or how do you do it if you've done it? Have you been around somebody doing it?

Openly urinating is pretty disgusting and I wouldn't be at all happy with anyone I saw doing that around me, but doing it into a container which is then secured and put into a day bag for later disposal would be ok by me, I think. Alcohol goes straight through you so it's a wonder some of the stage areas aren't a veritable sewer.

Good point kalifire.

I brought this up after reading something on Facebook about it. Someone said "Just wear a skirt with no underwear and squat wherever you want". I refrained from replying and felt physically sick that someone would do that anywhere they wanted over the farm. Absolutely disgusting and disrespectful to anyone else around you.

Thanks for the feedback on the Travel John's, I'm definitely buying them! Are they heavy/bulky? They don't look bulky, just don't want to weigh myself down too much! (I'm sure they're not, just checking so I don't have any surprises).

I don't like the idea of doing it in a crowded public place so I don't think I would but if you were wearing the right type of clothing such as a skirt for girls, I could imagine it working.

They're not heavy at all, each one rolls up quite small. Believe me I was desperate (and worried about losing my son in the crowd), it was dark, noisy and I was very discreet! For once prob easier to be a woman... Used sleight of hand under my parka (they are small) and a put in a bag afterwards (the gel just expands - no leakage, no smell). No one had an inkling or I would have died of embarrassment!

Yeah, I did consider something like that. I don't fancy trekking to the toilets with a piss filled bottle though, and I bet others don't want to see it either :P

As far as I can tell, these Travel Johns are bio-degradable, so I'm happy to splash out on them a bit.

My mates used traveljohns successfully last year - I didn't but it was always nice to have the option. I think that's fairest - not all the time but if you're desperate, it's night and you're in the middle of a huge pyramid or other crowd so going to the longdrops could effectively mean losing your friends or family. I considered making it to the toilets after the stones last year having been on ale without having to use one quite an achievement!

I understand, but mentioned it in case it would be a good idea for others, possibly on a tighter budget. As has been said you can conceal it in a plastic bag on the way to the 'proper' toilets empty it and then re-use the next night. I, and many others, have been using this method for many a year.

She wee for daytime use. No need to worry about cleaning your toilet seat before you sit down for wee and travel johns for the tent for that middle of the night/early morning wee. Not used one in a crowd tbh, but I guess under a poncho/ skirt you could get away with it.
