got tickets for all 3 days and got two pairs for the sunday

ridiculously easy to get on. never known R1BW to be so easy

probably that half the people in glasgow are still in bed, we don't do early mornings.

still able to go on freely and buy them too

Got tickets to all 3 days using a rest of Scotland postcode. My mate got all 3 too using a Glasgow postcode. It's my 22nd birthday on the Sunday and I finish my final university exams the day before it all kicks off so that is going to be one cracking weekend.

You can usually guess the lineup based on the Radio 1 playlist. Using that as a basis, I'll hazard a guess at:

Friday - Avicii/Disclosure (not sure if Glasgow City Council would let Avicii headline another outdoor gig in the city though after what happened last time)

Saturday - Drake (Radio 1 have been talking about him loads recently and he's the only headline act of Wireless not listed as a UK exclusive)

Sunday - Katy Perry/Miley Cyrus (they've playlisted every single from both of their new albums and both have a day off from their tours that day, but for Miley it would mean performing 4 nights in a row and flying from France to Glasgow and then to Germany the following day)

Coldplay's album being released around then is what makes them likely.

Bands playing Big Weekend don't necessarily need to be touring around the time of it. Most acts use it as an opportunity to promote themselves in some way, it's the equivalent of coming over to appear on chat shows to them. A big act could easily come over and perform with a stripped back stage show.

Also, JT would have to fly from Dubai (I think it was) to Glasgow to Turkey in order to play. Too much faff.

Katy Perry plays Glasgow the week before, she won't play again.

Beyoncé's tour is apparently over, don't know whether she'll do a one off show.

Coldplay and Drake then maybe?

Lily Allen has announced a headline show in Aberdeen on the 23rd May so I'm assuming she's a shoe-in.

Radio 1 love HAIM too so they'll definitely be there (and I assume in a pretty prominent slot)
