cortezuk
Also hoping that the Bella Union connection may produce an appearance from Snowbird the new collaboration between Stephanie Dosen and ex-Cocteau Twin Simon Raymonde

zahidf
Beck headlining Festival No 6 probably means that a EOTR slot as well won't be happening.

WM Hall
Thurston Moore playing Mosely, too. Surely now a dead cert for EOTR?
WM Hall
Electric Picnic (the same weekend as EOTR) has announced it's line up... BECK is playing, making him seem evermore likely to headline EOTR. John Wizards is also playing EP, so i reckon they could be at EOTR... they fit the bill quite nicely! Also at EP is St Vincent who could be back to play just below one of the headliners? I know she headlined last year but that was with David Byrne - she's not as "big" a name as she is when she's with him. Bands I think are realistically very likely to play: Snowbird (the Bella Union bond means this is very likely. Stephanie Dosen has also played EOTR before) Beck (seems like a no-brainer for the festival, especially given his more laid back new album. playing Thursday at Bestival as the smaller named headliner, and also playing Electric Picnic. Couple that with him being an SR on efestivals... i think we're onto something) Kiran Leonard (pretty much 100% playing) Mazes (their booking agent is friends with the EOTR lot. similar sound to Hookworms, also available for summer bookings) Joanna Gruesome (seem to be playing everywhere, fit nicely on Big Top) Thurston Moore (playing Moseley festival the same weekend alongside Richard Thompson. his more mellow work is very EOTR) John Wizards (playing Electric Picnic, they have a unique world/electronica sound that always seems to appear at EOTR in some form) Bands I think are less likely to play, but still possibilities: Bill Callahan (he'll be in Europe at the time and he's a firm favourite of the EOTR crowd) Owen Pallett (something tells me this will happen... maybe that's just because EOTR follow him on Twitter, haha!) The New Pornographers (available for booking/looking to tour this summer in Europe. have played before, would definitely be welcomed back!) The Pastels (available for booking this summer, perfect fit with EOTR)
shoebox
I would say Beck is ever more UNLIKELY to be playing EOTR now, what with him already headlining Festival No.6 and Bestival. But I'll especially pleased if I'm wrong. Bill Callahan is, I believe, a Green Man exclusive so won't be with us. I'd be pleasantly surprised at St Vincent, purely on the fact that of headlining last year. I agree with pretty much everything else you say though (although I don't know who John Wizards or Kiran Leonard are).

shoebox
Anyway, as I'm sure we all know by now, there's a conspicuous EOTR shaped hole in Kate Bush's tour dates this autumn. The mystery of the third headliner can be closed now. FACT!

WM Hall
jesus, that is a very EOTR-shaped whole in Kate Bush's diary... although you'd suspect someone who is playing 11 nights at the Hammersmith Apollo is, er, slightly too big for EOTR... retromoz
true....and i have just remembered.....the title of this thread is REALISTIC wishlist.......So, i think i will go back to wishing for Lets Wrestle....
