A tiresome question from an EOTR newbie.

Hello.

Experienced festival goer of 18 years. But 1st time at End Of The Road. Starting to get quite excited. :)

My question relates to alcohol. I do not see anywhere that home-brought booze is not allowed in the 'arena' area. IS this the case?!? I mean, im not planning on getting poo-faced (im 37). But, yer know, a wee dram of vodka from a hipflask could be nice of an evening.

ALSO, are beer/cider/bar prices as reasonable as the website says?!? £3 a pint?!? At a festival?!? Surely not?!?

Do tell. Thanks. :)

this was it:

We have Six bars on site

The Peacock Bar - Located on the semi circle

The Black Crow - Located in the main village area.

The Badger Inn - Located in the Tipi's

The Garden Bar - Located at the Garden Stage

The Dancefloor shed - Located at the Forest Dancefloor

The Somerset Cider Bus - Located near the Tipi's and fire.

The Peacock Bar will be hosting End of the Road’s Third Real Ale festival and will be serving no less than 50 different ales across the weekend.

Isn't the 'semicircle' the bit on the route between the Garden Stage and the other stages/main village, by the little cottage? If so that's not where the beer festival was last year, it was at the big bar at the top of the slope in front of the main stage where it is much less crowded, and where you can stay around the bar area and still hear/see the main stage, and I thought worked brilliantly. Hope I've misunderstood this...

FG just checked where I got the info - definitely to be found under festival information, not a 2012 site.

but reading it again I'd agree with you & think that is out of date. Black Crow was in the village but is now by the Woods stage and it was definitely where the beer choice was last year.
