Totally forgot about the Live Nation pre-sale... logged in, refreshed it a few times hoping for standing tickets and some popped up for Glasgow.

That makes up for sleeping through the LCD Soundsystem sale on the Friday morning at Glastonbury (well kind of makes up for it)

Heard the album for the first time last night.

I was wrong to say this is a band who have been steadily declining since the first album. It's more like hurtling along at breakneck speed.

Hard to believe the band that made funeral is now churning out utter dung like this.

Not sure I even agree with the sentiment of steady decline. My list runs like this:

Funeral - 10/10

Neo Bible - 9/10

Suburbs - 10/10

Reflector - 8/10

Everything Now - TBC

The poor reviews have dampened my anticipation for this, as well as the mixed singles so far. Reflektor was pretty uneven for me as it was. So I haven't been too fussed about searching out the leak.

To be honest I would settle for about 4 or 5 good songs on record which sound great live. They're far more worth as a touring act than a recording act these days and they tend to select the right songs to retain off the previous albums.

Of what I've heard so far Everything Now matches this description, Electric Blue hopefully will. Creature Comfort is pretty average but does sound pretty good live.

There's a Wembley presale here. Still tickets.

Thanks - relief to finally be sorted. For a band that only tours two years running then has a break for 2 or 3 years I don't mind feeling a small pinch in my pocket. York Hall proved they've still absolutely got the balls to deliver a solid live show with a cracking back catalogue. I just hope they squeeze up to 2 hours this time.
