Friday

Obelisk Arena: The Vaccines // Bombay Bicycle Club // Editors // Frightened Rabbit

BBC Radio 6 Music Stage: Modest Mouse // Palma Violets

Saturday

Obelisk Arena: Pixies // The Flaming Lips // Neutral Milk Hotel // HAIM

BBC Radio 6 Music Stage: Everything Everyhing // Peace

Sunday

Obelisk Arena: Jack White // Manic Street Preachers // Tame Impala // Johnny Marr

BBC Radio 6 Music Stage: Crystal Castles // CHVRCHES

That'd have my money so fast. Manics and Flaming Lips could arguably headline of course, but I'd have said Coyne & co. wouldn't sub Bestival either before they were announced.

Modest Mouse returning is actually a really good shout too.

As brilliant as this is (apart from the Vaccines headlining) I doubt it'll end up being that strong. Manic Street Preachers, Flaming Lips & even (arguably) Bombay Bicycle Club could headline in their own rights, they might get one of them to sub but all of them would be a huge deal & probably cost too much for a festival the size of Latitude.

every mention of portishead makes me so fucking happy, make it happen, incredible at glasto. though i'm sure the laser eyed david cameron wouldnt go down too well with the middle class (so make it happen)

also @raw: NMH -> Lips -> Pixies? dont do this to me man!

I'd say Manics headlining, with White as the Sunday afternoon slot.

I also say Modest Mouse is a no, after they cancelled their tour for a stupid reason easlier this year.

God line up otherwise.

Yeah, they've shown themselves to be unreliable and not committed enough, they'll be seen as a risk now by a lot of festivals who'll be hesitant to book them in future, quite rightly too, to cancel your tour on a whim is just massively dickish.

As much as I'd like that - seeing them in a major festival headline slot would guarantee my appearance - I don't think they're big enough for that even with a new album boost.

yeah agree with you there , good chance they could play warm up to one of the headliners though.

Agree with you den about this. They are not big giants to be headlined.

Saturday

Obelisk Arena: Friendly Fires // Bombay Bicycle Club // Haim // London Grammar

BBC Radio 6 Music: Grimes // Lucy Rose

Sunday

Obelisk Arena: PJ Harvey // Neutral Milk Hotel // Earl Sweatshirt (for a bit of variety?) // Django Django

BBC Radio 6 Music: SBTRKT // Daughter

I'd want Jack White, Portishead and Massive Attack to headline.

Realistically though I'd say something like Bombay Bicycle Club, Friendly Fires and someone else, can't think to be honest

portishead would be amazing, i'd be disappointed if both bombay and friendly fires headlined, i mean they're both good bands, just nothing special really...

What is this festival like? Fancy trying some new ones next year! Been to V, Reading regular, T in the park, oxegen, sonisphere etc..

What is it in comparision and is their late night, how late and what is the atompshere like, how is the campsite for noise and the people, just general things?

Thanks

i was thinking about going to this fest after not getting Glasto tix.....until i went on the web page and saw Festival Republic. I just instantly thought of Reading fesetival and though....no way!

After reading more about the festival though im strating to think i jumped the gun with my decision. oh well, going to Secret Garden Party instead....what is done is done.

Festival Republic, the former promoters of Glastonbury, put you off going?
