Who knows, it's one of the hardest to predict who will pay before who. Arcade fire played before them in 2010 and in 2012 DEUS who were named after a sugarcubes song(bjork).

Yeah before pearl jam, no DEUS are a Belgian band named after a sugarcubes song.

I wouldn't see Pearl Jam as nailed on yet, would kinda lead to an overload... (they played in '07 - '10 - '12 as well). I bet PJ is doing either an indoor gig or Pukkelpop next summer, and possibly Werchter on a later tour.

Some (extremely) early guesses:

QOTSA - Placebo - Daft Punk - Arctic Monkeys - The National - MGMT - Elbow - Arcade Fire - NIN - Hurts - Miles Kane - The Prodigy - Local Natives - Franz Ferdinand - Foals

Black ones are nailed on I think.

Here's who I think will play on the main stage

Kasabian Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds

Nine Inch Nails  Queens of the Stone Age

Pearl Jam Biffy Clyro

Arcade Fire Elbow

Does Werchter sell out fast I'm thinking about going to a festival in Europe next year and I am thinking about going to it if it sells out what over festivals are popular in Europe

Is that a top two for each day?

Kasabian played half way down the main stage last year, so won't headline.

Nine Inch Nails are subbing Pukklepop this year which is a smaller festival, so are unlikely to headline. Will probably play, though.

Biffy Clyro played 3rd from top in the tent this year, so would be nowhere near that high.

Apologies if that sounds blunt. :P

Didn't Monkeys turn down Werchter this year since mr Turners ego was too big?

Werchter turned down Monkeys cause they demanded a headlining spot, and those already were filled in at the moment they announced doing 2013 fests.

ye then I remembered right,

Green Day - The National

Blur - Kings of Leon

Rammstein - Volbeat

Editors - Depeche Mode

surely if they really wanted AM they could have changed around the bands a bit to make them fit for a headline slot? The National for example was announced after the new year iirc while AM first fest dates were announced early december.

I guess that depends on what the Monkeys see as 'headlining'. Maybe they just weren't satisfied with playing before an act like Green Day or Rammstein?

Either way, I personally think it's good that they didn't book AM this year. I believe festivals should stop booking headlining capacity bands who have no new material to promote (same goes for KOL, or Pearl Jam and Editors last year). That way you just increase the risk of overexposure in an already scarce group

You been smoking to much weed? Only qotsa, pearl jam and arcade fire would go in them positions..,although I'm not sure arcade fire would play last either.
