Mike simply repeated what is being said in an exceedingly poor researched newspaper article. He's taken it at face value, which most people do do with newspaper articles.

But it is an exceedingly poorly researched article, because a simple check would see that Rihanna has an already-announced date elsewhere that day.

That makes it exceedingly unlikely that she'll dump that other date to play Glastonbury instead. I'm not aware of any major act ever having dumped another already-announced show to play Glastonbury.
