Me? I don't really downvote unless it's something blatantly offensive or loads of people have already downvoted something and I can just throw another one on. Or sometimes when two posters are in an argument and one of them getting a downvote would result in "I see you've downvoted my post etc." and a downvote war starting. It's the little things.

No I haven't but I noticed seemingly everything Zac writes gets downvoted though which sucks.

I remember the same thing happened to Tom Wells. Just about every post got downvoted for no real reason.

Don't think it is a subscriber only thing, Neil has said before that it isn't. Although I can't see them so you can downvote me all you want and I'll never know.

It must be , as my subscription lapsed the other day and I only noticed when I couldn't see who had downvoted a post :P

He was writing a considerable amount of crap at the time.

Most of my downvotes are now used in the Taylor Swift thread.

Oh I know there was some amount of nonsense in there, but downvoting every post was a bit harsh.

I hardly ever upvote/downvote because I'm always on the mobile site, but I don't think there's anything undeserved about Zac/Tom Wells being downvoted.

I don't normally get annoyed by things but if I have to read "K-dot" or "T-Swizz" again I'll put my head through a window. I know Kendrick was called K-Dot but he ain't now and it's bluddy annoying. I don't even know why but oh well.

While we're on the subject, does anybody else think new posters seem to get harshly downvoted for lots of things?

Its usually because they start talking about fest, band or "do you think so & so can play in a ridiculously (usually) high slot" without having bothered to read any previous posts.

The pubescent boys all trying to outdo each other with the violent sexual imagery in the Taylor Swift thread would only be egged on by downvotes. They're trying to be outrageous, acknowledging them only makes them think they've been very clever.

Very true. I'm indifferent to Swift but you're doing some stellar work to counterbalance the unpleasantness in there.

I don't think it's a gold member thing but I can't see who downvotes me so I don't know. I rarely use them, just the odd upvote for something funny or a downvote to wind Scruffy up.

*awaits downvotes*
