Posted 06 June 2012 - 10:34 AMThe latestfestivalweather one saying patchy rain possible or light rain/drizzle, so sounding pretty much the same as last year then, which wasn't too bad overall.
Posted 06 June 2012 - 04:54 PMIt could be anything to be fair as Loch Ness is so big I think at times it has its own weather system!
Posted 06 June 2012 - 04:58 PMThe forecast from STV isnt too bad, bit wet on friday but not too wet the rest of the weekend
Posted 07 June 2012 - 10:23 AMbbc weather looks atrocious! not helping with my excitement!
Posted 07 June 2012 - 10:41 AMBBC prob the least reliable weather site i check, the latestfestivalweather one i posted originally looking like patchy rain all weekend, the 3 hourly breakdown for tomorrow seems to be rainy or drizzley all day long though - so looking like a wet tent setup.
Posted 07 June 2012 - 11:41 AMXC Weather is what alot of fisherman use where I come from to get there weather reports. Pretty reliable IMO. Friday looks poor. But Saturday and Sunday look decent
Posted 07 June 2012 - 08:17 PMNo, we have a fucker of a 6 man tent too pitch, aswell as a 3 man for friends that are arriving laters, we gonna be soaked!
Posted 07 June 2012 - 08:36 PMwe have a massive 4 man tent and yup we are also going to be soaked.. is the forecast rain ALL day and evening then for friday ?
Posted 11 June 2012 - 05:53 AMThe eyes on weather is always gives the benefits to the authorties.

Posted 11 June 2012 - 12:30 PMIt was fine, few showers, sun never came out but it was still mild so wasn't to cold!
Posted 12 June 2012 - 04:14 PMI live in London. Given what I've now seen in the news, glad I was in a tent in the Highlands! Wasn't too bad at all.
(My first Rockness - *that* view. There's different weather at the other end of the loch!)
Posted 12 June 2012 - 05:32 PMIt looks like ye had it a damn sight better than Download festival anyways, that was apparently a muddy quagmire.
Posted 12 June 2012 - 07:05 PMI was very pleased with the weather especially considering what it could have been, bit of drizzle Friday and Saturday morning, also I am sure the sun came out albeit for about 10 seconds I was at front of the main stage and everybody cheered.
Posted 12 June 2012 - 07:20 PMFriday night the rain didn't even fall. It hung suspended in the air.
I believe the technical name for this weather type is not "drizzle" but the rare and famed "Scotch Mist".
Posted 16 June 2012 - 09:42 PMWe had a few seconds of sun peaking through the cloud on the Friday afternoon when setting the tents up, got a massive cheer. Early Saturday evening i think the sun made an appearance again for a wee while. Stayed dry during the day and evening, some light rain around 4-6am on the Saturday. I did think it was pretty cold all weekend though, on the plus side it kept the drinks at optimum temperatures!
