please explain.  I'm planning on going on foot, travelling light to a fest for the first time for me ever probably.  the plan was to splash out and but absolutley everything there or off my kind neighbours.  what have I let myself in for? as in whats avaialble drinkwise? do they take just cash or is it tokens? is it just in arena or "bars" near camping area?

thank you please

People are going to have to chip in here, but my memory of the past two years is:

1) Cash only - a good thing

2) That they only have Tuborg and a bitter (John Smiths?) on tap in the arena. Both of which make you piss non-stop. It is pretty expensive - £4 a pint I think.

3) You can't bring drinks into the arena. The searches are pretty weak, but it's still a case of having to think about it, hide some cans in pockets etc etc. I know this is the case in almost all festivals, but it's still pretty annoying.

4) BArs/pubs (as in sit-down areas) are fairly small and limited in number. Don't expect to get much time there sipping on a cold vodka and coke.

Either way, I may have been too harsh earlier. It's the same as most festivals nowadays i.e. one beer 'sponsor' paying an aboslute ****-tonne of money to the festival, and festival=goers having to spend extortionate amounts for  watery beer.
