dirty_dog
have heard there's no Stereophonics or Elbow at No 6 this year
johnl
Anyone got any idea where the car park will be?
robskyd
We're in the campervan field so don't have to park and ride. I hope they've learnt from the mistakes last year and put temporary metal roads down like they do in Kendal Calling and more than 4 toilets for the whole field. As for the line up I'm not too bothered who's on, we only watched Noel Gallagher on the main stage last year. Only 4 days to go tho
dirty_dog
sounds like they learnt a lot from last year and are going back to basics

dirty_dog
I think tonight is more about parking arrangements and changes made to the Festival , Lineup Thursday

johnl
I'll go for Jamie T, Jesus and Mary Chain and New Order. No idea but I'd be pleased if I was right!

DDave
Weak as piss headliners.
DomDom1984
I have to disagree. Last year only one of the headliners had my interest. This year I'm already captivated by a huge chunk of the music. Which for a first announcement for this festival is a pretty rare thing. Every headliner will have me watching for absolute certain. johnl
Headliners are I suppose a little weak for the price of the festival but overall I quite like it. Undercard looks pretty good for me but I'd still like to know where my car will be parked first!
foolee
Do they only do weekend tickets for this or do they bring out day tickets closer to the festival?
dentalplan
I do find it a little weak in that there isn't a wide variety among the headliners as they usually have (tho I suppose one 'special guest' is still to come, right?) but yeah, like Dom it's interested me a lot more than it has for a while. 12 minutes ago, foolee said: Do they only do weekend tickets for this or do they bring out day tickets closer to the festival? Yep. Unless it was to sell out by July but obviously that's unlikely.
dirty_dog
cracking lineup, headliners are ok but the rest is really strong.
robskyd
I'm more than happy with this first wave of acts. Flaming Lips are top live as are Public Service Broadcasting who nailed it at Rammy Fest last year. The under card is a lot stronger than it was last year plus there's more to come. Oh, and the Bootleg Beatles with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra playing Sgt Pepper ticks all my boxes. And they've brought back Meirion Rouge which was a highlight last year. DomDom1984
The headliner three are weak I agree. But I love it. So I'm getting my ticket next month.
zzzfest
Attended 2012 (Sunday), 2015 (Saturday and Sunday) and 2016 (Saturday and Sunday) . New Order memorable headliner 2012. 2015 one of the greatest festival experiences as many cited. 2016 shambles. Hope the downsizing will work and reclaim the Britain's finest festival once it was this year. Agreed: weak headliners, strong undercard. Neither exciting nor disappointing. Could be better. The return of New Order would be an ideal Sunday co-headliner (in the same position as James in 2015 and Super Furry Animals in 2016), commemorating the festival's sixth year. DomDom1984
Ended up having to wait a bit to get this organised. Doing it in stages. Got my travel from Glasgow to Manchester. Getting the bus from Manchester to the site sorted next week and then the ticket the week after. Probably sort out a pre-pitched tent not long after.
