Martino231
Hey guys Just a quick question. I'm struggling to get into ATD-I which is strange for me because I'm pretty into hardcore music. Any advice on which album is the best to start on? At the moment I'm listening and thinking "this is pretty cool" but I'm just not particularly hyped yet. Thanks! Vieuphoria
I've only recently gotten in to them. Which is odd because i've always liked that kind of thing. But I listened to Command first, then the best of collection thing. Still getting there but they are great. I'd recommend watching some live videos too, shambolic but utterly compelling. 2rare2die
You can pick up a copy of Relationship Of Command pretty cheap now (£3.99 on Amazon i think) so i'd start there. May take a few listens but well worth the effort

minga160183
They do sound awful live, the Mars Volta side does anyway. Come to think of it,Mars Volta were shocking in 2003
The Mean Bean
I got a shitty old copy of Acrobatic Tenement in a box of hand-me-down CDs my cousin didn't want anymore about 8 years ago, my childhood mind was expanded that day, I've loved that album ever since. she bangs the drums
Watching ATDI is never going to be a sit down gig! Looking back at their gigs who knows what we will get, their early gigs look pretty chaotic to say the least. compared to this To the original poster, start out with the obvious ones, Arcarsenal, One Armed Scissor, Cosmonaut, Quarantined and then you will find your own favourites! jonodillieono
Speaking of which are Cedric and Omar still big anti-mosh? Not that I'd be in a mosh pit to them anyway but I'm just thinking if you take your standard leeds crowd I could imagine a lot of mosh pits happening, yano 'cause they're the lads, which might piss them off and cause them to walk off early like they did at Big Day Out

Mouseboy11
Yeah they have stated that in numerous interviews and have been known walk of stage if moshing persists! They prefer you to dance than mosh. I can definitely see moshing at leeds or reading though!
Mouseboy11
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mi2PjcXO7Zc I assume this is what was mentioned, what a douche.

The Mean Bean
How can anybody be anti-mosh? First I've ever heard of this.
Avens
Throughout reading the OP I was thinking, "Can I get away with posting, 'JUST LISTEN TO ONE-ARMED SCISSOR!'?" and I'm so pleased to note that many before me have said the same! If you need to get into them, One Armed Scissor is the way forward, and it'll hook you into the rest.
Yellow_Fellow
ATDI aren't anti mosh, they're anti slam dancing. That's the stupid "flail your limbs everywhere and throw your body at each other" thing. Also since when has Dave Grohl been anti mosh?! Mouseboy11
I think he was referring to Foo Fighters' iTunes festival gig, where Dave kicked a fan out for fighting in a mosh pit. He's not anti-mosh.
