Calzum
Fair enough, I have been meaning to ask you that but i kept forgetting i have done some research (as i am not working today) and i think they are a bit to 'American' for me but enjoy them at Hit The Deck bro
2rare2die
Nahh, if you're like me then you'll need to sit through their shite while waiting for the cure to come on.
Weloveyouneil
I seem to remember this same sort of negativity directed at My Chemical Romance last year, and they went on to steal the show as one of the best bands of the festival. Admittedly Paramore were mediocre last time (although I still enjoyed the hell out of them, kinda difficult not to when you're really drunk and watching one of your favourite bands), but on the three other occasions I've seen them, they've been great. I think if people try to keep an open mind, they might end up being pleasantly surprised...
DL50
I enjoyed them at Reading, you can't say this crowd sound 'bored as fuck' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJu-rN10MRw&feature=fvst However i do think they worked really well before Blink, dunno if it will be as good before The Cure
kaosmark2
It's damn hard to seem good if you're followed by The Cure. And Paramore are already at a heavy disadvantage there

Stewartside
Has no one taken into account the fact that theyre realising a new album within the next couple of months? Itll push them back into the spotlight through the summer if its a big hit and gets alot of attention. Im on the fence over Paramore, i dont dislike them but dont love them and tbh will likely spend my evening in the NME tent so them playing isnt a major concern to me. RichieParf
Have to agree with you there, Paramore and blink obviously have some crossover and they were very much a buzz band in 2010, can't imagine many of their preteen girl fan base enjoys/has even heard of The Cure
Jackmypie
It is plausible, and I know this will be alien to many of the users on these forums, that Paramore fans may enjoy their music and could, theoretically, be music fans in general. It is possible, therefore, that they may have heard of other musicians and bands, such as The Cure.

RichieParf
Out of my mind? Come off it. You really think Paramore's entire fanbase consists of people who have no earthly idea who the Cure are? They like a band that you dislike, they don't exist in complete isolation from the rest of western culture.

RichieParf
Never said that i dislike Paramore, on the contrary, i said i enjoyed them at Reading 2010, hence posting the video And yeah obviously i didn't mean that every single Paramore fan in the world hasn't heard of the Cure it was obviously an exaggeration so don't take it so literally Back to the point, i think we can agree that generally speaking, big fans of paramore are much more likely to also like Blink than the Cure
Gingo
To be fair Paramore as a band sounded excellent in 2010 it was just her singing which let it all down

AcademicPistol
Just a singer who can actually carry out what they've put on record is fine. I think you'll find its the chart shite that mostly need help with the vocals.
Yellow_Fellow
One thing I do love is that this forum seems to recoil in horror at Paramore - but two of the forums favourite bands, Weezer & Deftones are well known fans, to the extent of having Hayley guest vocal live on Say It Ain't So & Passenger respectively. Think about it
