Brilliant at Heaton Park, and they had a new song too so I guess they've got future plans.

Also, as for bands of that era. The Charlatans are working on a new record for next year and they already played V and IOW this year, could fill a middle to low place on the lineup.

Couple of drunken points on the last few pages

  • TDDC: Will do a Franz, get massive, will headline will fade with more brilliant material than they already done. At reading this year, the atmosphere was amazing, I am not a fan of "Beacons" on record, but an ally pally show and how they performed was just amazing for me, they had that certain quality about them live, could be Pigeon Detectives at the same time though. I am ifffing and butting about where they will go!

  • Vampire Weekend: The current festival audience/scene is so fickle its hard to decicded, I'd guess at 2nd/3rd depnds entirely on new album...could headline nme maybe!

  • linkin park: just couldn't headline reading now

  • Lets get Orbital involved, i am drunk and watching them on the bestival stream, would be awesome in the nme ala justice this year! (not as big , but would aid reading in prehaps after the cure a move away from the youth!)
