LondonTom
Any news on transport to Blur yet? Massive effort with trying to get a hotel near Olympics?
lekkas
hey, just another quick shout to see if anyone has an extra blur hyde park ticket they need to offload - i started the requests a couple of weeks ago for spare tickets and replied to the couple of guys who were looking to sell (arteet, nightcrawler), but unfortunately didn't hear back. so here's another request for a spare - don't you all offer them to me at once...! edfirth
Bombay confirmed for Blur show. Big surprise... Could be worse, at least I like them. Would have preferred about 100 other bands though
MaxMaz
Just been looking at what looks like the final line up for Hard Rock Calling - it's generally terrible. They're much more like a standard gig now rather than a festival. No wonder they're doing cheap deals on Soundgarden tickets again. If I didn't want to see The Boss and Fogerty so much I'd sell my two day ticket.
mrtourette
What cheap deal? I need to get the better half a ticket but as she's just along for the ride rather than being that into Soundgarden I begrudge shelling out the £63.25 that I did for my ticket. MaxMaz
Ticket master have a 241 offer on Soundgarden Friday. Won't work for you unless someone will buy your ticket I guess.
jump
Here's a link for anyone intrested in the 2 for 1 Soundgarden tixs... http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/370048659F2F55D9?did=241ticketoffer
mrtourette
Damn it! Anyway referring to your previous point, the line-up does fall below other festivals but I always thought HRC was somewhere in between a standard concert and a full festival. The price is pretty much in between as well so I guess it's still fair.

Dark Star
Wonder just how few tickets have been sold for Soundgarden at HRC that they're on a 2-4-1? I'm guessing it can't be more than half capacity so far? Their poor performances shown on webcast from Rock AM Ring etc can't have helped! mrtourette
If people have been waiting 15 years to see Soundgarden I doubt that dodgy video clips on you tube are likely to have that much impact. It's more likely that there just simply weren't that many people interested in paying £60 to see them in Hyde Park in the first place. mrtourette
Set list from the latest of Soundgarden's own gigs in Berlin, should be closer to what they play at Hyde Park than their festival sets: Searching With My Good Eye Closed Spoonman Jesus Christ Pose Hands All Over Hunted Down Drawing Flies My Wave The Day I Tried to Live Pretty Noose Burden in My Hand Blow Up the Outside World Fell on Black Days Rusty Cage Outshined Black Hole Sun Live to Rise Superunknown 4th of July Beyond the Wheel Slaves & Bulldozers
Dark Star
The crowd at Rock IM Park/Rock AM Ring (can't recall which it was) looked bored and the band looked like they were just going through the motions and collecting the cheque. A real shame if that's the motivation, hopefully it was just an off-night.
mrtourette
To be fair the band looked like that 16 years ago.

MaxMaz
Anyone know if I can split my weekend ticket? They look like separate tickets on the PDF so guessing I can. If so, anyone want a Paul Simon ticket?
Damsonz
Maybe they should have got Bruce to do a two-nighter.
kaosmark2
What's the Hyde Park curfew? I'm trying to work out if I'll be definitely be able to catch a 12.20 train from Paddington without missing Soundgarden's encore. I know and can do the walk in 15 minutes in normal crowds. chickenfire
I've heard it's only half 10 but I've never been before so I could be very wrong.
