lendan
Hi all, my son (9) and wife want to go to there first festival this summer. Latitude is only own the road from us but i'm looking at others too. There both in to the more "V style" bands/pop acts, but i am NOT taking a 9 year old there! Whats it like for kids? Will they release day tickets? how much? more importantly, whats the attitude like of others, general atmosphere of the place etc Thanks
5co77ie
GuilFest is a good introduction to festivals, as it offers lots of festival food, festival shopping, festival music, and a good mixed festival crowd without the downsides - long walks and bad loos. There's a few "V style" bands/pop acts to keep your kid happy, plus more heritage acts to keep the more musician driven members of your family happy, and we can expect some big names. It's a good festival kids with a big kids area with plenty to keep 'em occupied , and lots of other things to keep the nippers happy including inflatables, water zorbing, theatre shows, kids (family friendly) live comedy etc. The attitude of others is good, although you do get the occasional grimace from someone for having to walk on the edge of their picnic blanket to get passed in front of the main stage - that's about as edgy as it gets - and an apology uses suffices a returned smile, the general atmosphere of the place is exuberant, and relaxed. Day tickets are available at the gate and usually around £40-
timespeedsup
Might be our first time this year Scottie. How far from camp to music? & what's the tolerance level for bringing your own food and drink into the main areas?
