Finally committed to attending IOW this year.

Only really interested in going because a mate is Tom Petty mad & pushed for us to go.

Excited to extend my festival knowledge too - been too reliant on my usual festivals, nice to change the scenery too.


(I haven't mentioned to my mate that I'll be bailing on Tom Petty to see Crystal Castles instead )

tom petty pearl jam great but i reckon imo thats the worst iow line up ive seen i would have thought given theres in glasto this year they would have had a blinding line up buy hey hoo if they had day tics id go and see PJ as it is im going to manchester

I'm still not sure what to make of the line up, for me I'm going for Tom Petty, Bruce and Pearl Jam, all who should be amazing. Elbow I love as well and Noel Gallagher and Madness should both be fun. Large parts of the line up just seem to be radio 1 filler/xfactor type acts though.

I am not keen on a majority of the line up - but i'm sure it'll be a smashing weekend anyway.
Good group of mates, plenty of drinks - the banter and all that!

I've just confirmed my Great Escape tickets too, on a festival booking roll this week
