Why do you think that they're playing at Reading? I've not heard any announcement about they're playing.

We can't guarantee it's right. We have to take on trust what we're told (tho we do make efforts to check things via a variety of means). And even people who should be 'in the know' sometimes turn out to have wrong info for one reason or another, and sometimes what was true when we were told it isn't true by the time of an official announcement at a later point in time.
All that aside, it's rare that any act we mark as a tbc turns out to not be appearing, and exceedingly rare with a headline act for a major festival - I honestly can't remember when we last got one of those wrong, and it might even be the case that we've never got one wrong (I honestly can't remember a single instance).
For example, for Reading 2011, we had all three headliners marked as tbc over three months before the announcerment. So hopefully you can grasp that our record is good, and I'm not being boastful above.
But perhaps it's this year that we turn out to be wrong. I won't know for sure until the official announcement, same as you.

Green Day is probably a nah as they are apparently planning a tour in Sep and don't like festivals in general.
