Dog Burger
Does anyone know what time the car park opens its gates on Thursday? I notice from a bit of trawling of the Bestival website that it says the campsites open at noon on Thursday, but does anyone know what time they'll allow cars into the car park from. Essentially we have very little money to book travel and are examining all options. The cheapest at the moment appears to be getting a ferry very early on Thursday and sucking it up once we get on the Isle. Just wondering if they'll allow us to sleep in the car, in the car park until Friday morning if it comes to it.
Rachie
We've just booked national express from Liverpool, Thursday. Going via London, getting to Ryde for 3pm. Would have cost 65 each (including ferry) but i chose to do open return, so was a little more expensive. We are planning on staying in a B&B in Ryde on the Monday to recover before the big travel up. Glad its sorted now, relief.

Friend of mine wants to come to the festival but is struggling with cheap travel options from that end of the country (long shot I know!) gooner1990
You should try the Bestival Lift Share thing - see link below; http://www.liftshare...kreg.asp?eid=20 On top of this you should also ask on the Bestival Facebook site. The more angles you've got the more chance of success.

Homer
How much is the Portsmouth to Ryde crossing these days? I just went onto the ferry company's site and was quoted £23.50 or £25 depending on which type of ferry I used. Is this right? I though it was around £20 last year. Has it gone up again? DJL
Anyone know if the queues on the monday at east cowes and west are roughly the same?
Moon Monkey
I thought the queues were leaving the site only as only have a ferry docking so many times per hour? What are the queues like from the ferry? If bad I may have to stay sober and go pick rest of crew up
