Hmm I dunno, usually theres a couple of main stage spots held back CKY opening wasn't announced until very late last year
Reckon Friday main stage will have Presidents of the USA in the Puddle of Mudd slot of last year

I am hoping for Porcupine Tree, Hed P.E & Monster Magnet but that will never happen but one of them would be great.

I think they'll be filling a few gaps on 2nd stage more than main.

That'd do me nicely. Monster magnet would have to be in the tent tho... Which'd no doubt clash with something interesting. Gah.
Never seen PT so they'd be ace too, and hed (PE) always used to fun live!

The All American Rejects will be in the UK when Download starts, and they're free on the Sunday so hopefully there is a slot for them somewhere

All American Rejects headlined second stage at Download before but they're nowhere near that level anymore, so really they should take a slot lower down on the second stage that day
Four Year Strong are also supporting Blink but free at Download time.

Porcupine tree are dull live. Honestly. Great musicians, great albums, but fuck me it's like watching paint dry.

i'm pleased you enjoyed it, maybe I caught them on an off night, but if you closed your eyes, they could have been playing a PT CD. i like my artists to show some balls, to jump around a little bit, or at least show some fucking emotion when they are banging out a belter of a tune, but nothing. I understand wilson is a very accomplished musician and producer, but he came across as a bit of a charisma vacuum tbh.
not sure when it was I saw them, it was on the FOABP tour, with amplifier supporting, I saw them at the Newcastle Academy, which is a fucking great venue BTW.

He wasn't jumping about excitedly, but he really seemed to care about the songs and the show, engaged in a bit of crowd banter. Would definitely want to watch them again.

Don't mean to knit-pick but if you close your eyes you can't see any band jump around, personally i find it refreshing a bit like a classical concert where you can get in to the music without having to dance around to show your enjoyment but don't get me wrong i enjoy going mental sometimes as well.
