We are getting the coach to Rockness this year.
Apart from my spirits I plan on taking an 8 pack of cola, 10 pack of cider can and 10 pack of lager cans. I will have one rucksack which will I will be able to make room for one of the crates but definately not the rest. I was thinking of taping the crates to a sledge but do not trust putting this on the coach as it may be stolen. I also thought about using a small rucksack and putting this on my front, but not sure if this will be too awkward.
Any suggestions?

no matter what...it's awkward carrying that much. Your plan is pretty much what everyones plan is.

Last year I carried 48 cans in. I put 24 in 2 of those hemp type, canvas Tesco bags. I'm a big bloke but sure you can manage your amount in 2 bags

I will have 30 cans in my back pack including clothing, tent, sleeping bag etc
then like you have about 30 (maybe more) in yon big heavy duty tesco bags! get the guns pumping! might chuck the vodka etc in my bag or might put in tesco bag depending on space in the back pack! The short 15min walk of killing my back is worth it. Last year I got everything in my back pack and didn't carry anything! but I wasn't drinking one of the days last year

there doesn't seem to be an easy way of carrying booze. i put some in my rucksack then just carry the rest in those big beastly carrier bags you get from the supermarket. at least it's not too far to walk at rockness.

Those big blue things they were handing out last year from the car park were absolute murder!

I used one of these for about 10 festivals, was a treat...make sure everything is in boxes/crates to make it especially easy. Fell apart a couple of years ago though.

Use one of these for Glastonbury now though, doubt it will ever fall apart! Also doubt I'd use it for Rockness, bit over kill haha

If you pack your rucksack right you can easily get more cans in.
I take a satchel and fill it with all my clothes (rolled up)
this leaves my bag for my air bed in the bottom bit, toiletries and sunglasses and stuff like bags and wet wipes in the side. Drink in the middle, easilly get around 20 cans in there.
Then the top bit has air pump and the now infamous mystery biscuits. (are they chocolate wafer, digestive bars, choco-orange things who knows)

The other festival I go to on public transport Bestival I take one of these:

Great bit of kit big pneumatic tyres and it folds up so you can put it behind the seat on the train. I actually bungee my rucksack to it and put a crate or two on the bottom then I only actually have to carry a small rucksack on my back.
This is another argument for the legalisation of recreational drugs, they hardly weigh anything

I normally just carry about 30 cans in a holdall then stick my vodka and whatever else in my rucksack. As has been said it's not too bad at Rockness as there's alot less walking involved.

I'll probably just do what I did last year. My 90L backpack with all I need(tent on back etc)+ spirits inside and 2 of those canvas Tesco bags filled to the brim with a choice selection of beer, cider and premixes

The problem isn't trying to fit all of your booze into the one bag, it's the weight of it. I could probably get most of mine in my rucksack, but I need to spread the weight between a few different bags. If all of my booze was in my rucksack I wouldn't be able to stand up.

ALWAYS leave space for the mystery biscuits!!

Back to the question.. I have the also infamous B&Q trolley... normally load it up the night before and put it into the car as a single unit. Hold everything on with a roll of industrial pallet wrap and it doesn't move. Only ever neen unlucky enough once for security to want to check every bag!

Drink it all on the way up
Or just do what i do and go in 10 metre sprints and then collapse. Then man up and run another ten metres. Then repeat!
