This is mainly to Neil.
What do you know about the Black Sabbath Cancel thing?

I know that they've said they won't be cancelling.
Presumably they're saying that on the basis of knowing all the ins and outs of what's going on with Tommi, which I don't.

Have they ever came out and said they were cancelling anything?

It has been said and also said that Ozzy is likely to replace, although unconfirmed by the fest, hence i chose to ask, by that guy who leaked/confirmed Metallica 1st for Download this year, Slipknot 1st for Soni last year, and SOAD's reunion, he also said Van halen (which is unconfirmed as yet i think) maybe wrong, but if he was wrong even originally with that, it's one out of 4 he's got wrong.

According to that yes. Note this is not a troll guy and everything he has said except for one thing that I know of has been right. Even the one wrong about Van Halen is questionable as they may well havebeen booked for friday but fucked about and The Prodigy ended up instead, who knows.

I don't doubt how probable it would be, it's been discussed on the official site and people had mentioned it.
They also said he did some UK shows (some free) which seriously bombed.

Apparently GNR are replacing Sabbath at Hellfest, but Ozzy played there last year, so he couldn't really fill in on that date. But yeah as far as I'm aware he said Ozzy is replacing Sabbath on most of the dates and I'd imagine that includes Download.

Just no official word from Download yet. That was all that was keeping me going. £80 for a day with Ozzy headlining is not the same draw.

Well a few other french websites are reporting GNR to replace Sabbath at Hellfest now it seems, which makes me think it'll be cleared up in tomorrows Hellfest announcement...no idea if a general cancellation/statement will be made too though :S

Hmmm odd.
http://www.billward....ath-album-tour/
Bill ward seems to be having some disagreements with the rest of the band and is considering sitting out of the tour - according to that link. Odd, it was posted today and doesn't mention the tour being canned but at the same time it's possible even if it is going ahead that he won't take part in it..

Fucked up that he's had to go public with this

I remember last time Sabbath got together they were going to do it without him and have Ozzy's drummer at the time do it but they changed their mind the last sec due to fans claiming outrage.

Gone public before it goes public. They were the only thing keeping me going at all for Sunday. I'm hoping that Ozzy doesn't replace though as I will feel the need to prob still get a day ticket as Ozzy will play Paranoid and Iron Man. I'd rather Soundgarden headline, my money saved and cancel that fest of my to do this year cuz minus The Prodigy/Slash, Billy Talent, Biffy Clyro and Ten D it's very missable, The Prodigy is fact is the only other band I'm that fussed on.

Sharon Osbourne tweeted Juliette Lewis today, offering her to watch Sabbath from the side of the stage "when they play LA".

Gaz, why do you keep talking like they've cancelled, they haven't cancelled and they aren't going to from as far as I can, just Bill Ward seems to want more money than he's likely to be getting and as a drummer he is replaceable, yes it won't be the original drummer, but it won't stop Sabbath playing im sure or else they'd just cave in and give him what he wants.
End of the day Sabbath and especially Sharon on Ozzys behalf isn't stupid enough to let this goldmine slip away just for Ward's sake.
Also you were never coming Download for the weekend were you? You've never even done Download before have you? If you're coming just for Sabbath fair enough but DL is much more than that, best festival going pal, and Ive done a fair few

if i do come to download will probably get the weekend arena ticket only as i live close enough to bus it in and save a few quid on the camping ticket (i'm a student so every penny counts!)
anyway wasn't too fussed about sabbath when they were announced but i can see the appeal for Sabbath to have the original line up.
would suck if it turned out not to be but only time will tell.
