Hey dudes,

Im sure this has been answered somewhere already but I cant find it!  Thinking of heading to Nova rock this summer for the first time, finding it hard to figure out the travel arrangements! Anyone know the best airport to be flying to (Flying from ireland)? Ryanair only seem to fly to salzburg and that's 200 miles away

vienna is only an hour away by train, or if its cheaper bratislava which is an hour away from vienna on train, the festival is really good, always have great headliners (similar to download) and theres a great vibe, but not alot of people speak english there, but beer is the universal language at this festival!

he is right about the flight, but i am contrary about the rest:
the vibe at novarock, like at most austrian festivals, is awful. its more about the beer than the music and you really would be disappointed with the crowd and slot, for example, kasabian will probably get
and most of us austrians DO speak english... its an awful english, but well, it still is english!

Cheers guys! Going to be my first European Festival that hasn't been in Germany, how does it compare to the likes of Rock Am Ring and Hurricane?

i haven't actually been to these german festivals, but as an educated guess i would say novarock is pretty much a small rock am ring
