Unless any more come out it looks like waiting for them to come on Ebay or I will be going to Soni. Not subjecting the family to the other campsites.
Can't believe they have sold out so quick

They've said they won't be going back on sale.
They defo are selling fast this year, fastest ever they're saying. Think it may sell out this year, no Glasto or High Voltage and the fact Soni are slower than recent years plus the fact Download have announced all their big acts early has all helped.
Last years slow sales has tricked everyone this year and people have missed out sadly

You can't say you weren't warned. Still Soni will be good I'm sure.

Just go in one of the campsites further back and you'll be fine. It is quiet there and most people are civilised, it is hardly like Leeds fest
You can't gurantee it and if a group move in later in the day who are partying all night then it will turn into a nightmare for the Mrs. You can't stop people partying all night in a standard campsite, and I wouldn't want to. At least with family camping everything goes quiet at midnight.

Should have realised that the news that they were running out of family camping tickets would have been in the Vodafone thread!! Here was me expecting to see it on Twiiter or the official Download Facebook page....

Are you registered with ebay? you could always put a "family camping pass wanted" on there

Obviously its a long way until this happens, but I'd imagine a Black Sabbath pullout could help you if it did happen. Would defo be worth looking at Ebay and stuff after that... if it happens.

You posted that you were waiting till Jan to buy your family camping ticket. People inc myself advised i was selling out fast because of the line up, no Glasto etc and you ignored the replies. You are correct though, it's really shit how AC didn't personally come round to give you a wee nudge once the last 10 percent of tickets were hit. It's everything that is wrong with this country, why should people check replies to things they post when organisers could be doing more to warn individuals that things are selling out just in case they might want to come, or hum and hah and go somewhere else instead? Hope you get some though, it would be a shame to miss.

Download in the past has put out comms indicating when tickets were starting to run low. I don't blame them, it's up to me but it's bloody annoying.
I personaly think they should implement a system that when they are down the last 2k records they should ring/text everyone who may be thinking of buying the afomentioned ticket

Hey peeps! It'll be my first download this year - just wondering if there's a quieter campsite seen as Family camping's all gone now? I heard that some of the campsites don't open until the friday once all the others are filled up but I'll definitely need some shut-eye after driving down from Aberdeen! Any help is much appreciated!

the only time its quiet is when the bands start(or when its raining) but ive only ever camped in blue since 2005, so i dunno what the others are like. but you get used to it all after awhile
just take some ear plugs

The planes make the most noise anyway. It's somewhat strange trying to go to sleep in a quiet room when you go back home.
