I'm having trouble putting  a profile photo onto my account.

Selected a 329kb jpeg file but the only message I'm getting is that the photo failed to load.

Any ideas?  File too large?

Also some of my options are hidden by the big banner advert at the top of the screen, so I'm not sure if any other message is hidden underneath.

All help/suggestions welcome.

After digging around in the forum settings, I've found the info for you.

The max filesize is 100Kb, and the max pixel size is 200x300 pixels.

At least that's what I think they are; it's a while since someone has asked me this question, and lots of the settings for profile pictures changed so they might not apply now.

Now to decide which of the 329 kb have to be got rid of to get down to 100kb.  The wrinkles can definitely go.

After a bit of research I have found that I needed to compress the photo for web use-now its only 31kb.  I was trying to do it by cropping the photo which would have ended up with hardly any of the photo left. Thanks for putting me on the right track.
