All this time I have hated that song and I'm still not a fan BUT go and see it live in europe. The whole emotion thing of the wall coming down and what it meant to them hits you like a sledgehammer. It's proper kick you in the nads emotional. I at least understand it now even if it still grates a wee bit.

thats what makes it worse, its lowest common denominator schmaltz. its as bad as Celine Dion, Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey schmaltz.
