Hi everyone.

Been a member on here for a few years now as a punter and even started the big glasto dvd train thread of 2004. But now I post as a festival organiser :-)

Me (Martin Newell) and two friends (Lee Martin, Steve Daff) have had the idea of putting a festival together for a while and now last year pushed that idea along to create Lakefest!

Its actually on my dads campsite (http://croftfarmleisure.co.uk/) so we have things like toilets / water points already in place and of course a licence.

We`re really happy with the lineup being our first one and EMF reuniting for us was the icing on the cake.

With a capacity of 4000 its not a huge fest, but its sure to be a great weekend! Exciting times ahead :-)

Hi Martin,

Nice one for organising this!

I had a drive over to the water park on sunday for a nose about, hadnt been there for about 10 years! used to go windsurfing there, has changed a lot, got me very excited for the festival. Put REEF's back catalogue on shuffle on the way home in the sun

where abouts on site is the stage?

Bad news about the Levellers having to pull out, will you be able to get another headliner or will you push everyone up a bit? The later provides us punters with extra drinking time though!
