Couldn't even begin to try and pick the top ten acts at the moment but ill have a go at the legend and suggest its one of three Tom Petty, Paul McCartney or David Bowie.

Top 10? Hmmm this is more hope than realism.

The Stone Roses, Kanye/Jay Z, Daft Punk, RHCP, Snow Patrol, The Killers, Blink, SHM return, Noel Gallagher and The Courteeners :girlhaha:

For me: Stone Roses, Daft Punk, Bowie, Deadmau5, Killers, Snow Patrol, The Specials, Madness, The Cribs, Noah and the Whale.

Some of them are hope, some of them are logic. Pretty obvious which ones are which.

The Bowie rumours have zero chance of happening as proven by recent articles on his effective retirement in the press.

Deadmau5 is highly improbable as he headlined NME last year and won't be offered the same slot this year.

The Specials would be great as a Sunday NME headliner up against the Stone Roses, assuming the Roses are on the Sunday.  I can't see both Madness and The Specials playing unless they were on different days.

I'd like to see (wish list):

Metal Headliner - Metallica/AC-DC/Iron Maiden
QOTSA (NME headliner?)
Mark Lanegan Band
Black Keys (Tuts headliner?)
Band Of Skulls
Feeder
Blur (headliner - for a full set this time)
Paul McCartney (Main headliner)
At The Drive-In (NME headliner?)
Pearl Jam/Soundgarden (Headliner/NME Headliner)
Eddie Vedder (if not Pearl Jam)
Smashing Pumpkins (Tuts headliner?)
Pixies or The Breeders (NME headliner/Tuts for Breeders)
No Doubt
Duff McKagan's Loaded
Garbage
The Gaslight Anthem (unlikely) / The Horrible Crowes
Goldfrapp
Empire Of The Sun
The Knife/Fever Ray
The Hives
NIN/How To Destroy Angels
Iggy And The Stooges
Alice In Chains
Jonsi/Sigur Ros
Ladytron
The Lemonheads
Mudhoney (this band is fantastic live)
Some old punk/post-punk bands (Public Image Ltd, New York Dolls, The Damned, Stiff Little Fingers, Adam Ant)
Paul Weller
PJ Harvey
Portishead
The Raveonettes
Robert Plant (doubt T would book him)
Silversun Pickups
Therapy?
The Vaselines
Yeah Yeah Yeahs

I know I have too many headliners listed above, but you can't get everything you want so some of them would do.

Stone Roses (Main Headliner)
The Killers (Main Headliner)
QOTSA (NME Headliner)
Florence And The Machine (NME Headliner)
Franz Ferdinand (NME Headliner)
Example (Tut's headliner)
Black Keys (Tut's Headliner)
Not sure of any other headliners really. And I'm not sure of those.

Other acts:

At The Drive In
The All-American Rejects
Brand New
Editors
Enter Shikari (like to think they could maybe headline Tut's, but probably would sub it. Dunno.)
Feeder
Frank Turner
Frightened Rabbit
Funeral Party
The Gaslight Anthem
Labrinth
Lostprophets
Nero
Professor Green
Razorlight (NME/Main sub)
Royal Republic
The Subways

I have no doubt they could, need some filler for during the day, personally will be steering clear if they do play though
