People suggesting Maccabees & Foals are insane. Yeah they're good live, and pretty popular, but headline Glastonbury? Not a chance. Black Keys however, they wouldn't be far off. Probably need another two albums with 2/3 more successful singles though.

Is that despite the fact Maccabees have been significantly more commercially successful with their last three records over Black Keys last three, as well as the fact they're now playing the same size venues?

Same size venues? Maccabees haven't sold out their Academy tour and are pretty far off from selling out their one night at Ally Pally. Black Keys instantly sold out 3 nights at Ally Pally, 2 nights at Apollo, Nottingham Arena (bar a few seats in the distance). Maccabees are at their peak IMO, Black Keys are always on the rise.

I am now a big fan of the Maccabees, but we're talking in the next 10 years. I have no idea how you know they at their peak? Even in your opinion, thats the beauty no one knows!!

Agreed, but most people have already seen them.

Didn't they headline in 09 though? May not have been Pyramid but still, I can't see them doing another headline slot for a while.

The black keys seem to be beginning an Elbow like rise in popularity as in they've released a number of albums to date however it's only the most recent one which has brought them to many people's attention.

Very similar to the way 'The Seldom Seen Kid' acted as a catalyst to most people's knowledge of Elbow.

Think they're bluesy rock sound would sound brilliant on the pyramid stage and perhaps Eavis may take a risk on them come 2013 as headliners?

Personally for 2013 I want Dizzee, Arctic Monkeys and Led Zeppelin (see my post in the 2013 headliners thread)

But in the next 8 years I'd like to see:

Biffy Clyro
Lady GaGa
Pearl Jam
The Stone Roses
Rage Against The Machine
Dizzee Rascal
The Vaccines (Think they will be headlining festivals within 4years)
OASIS!!!
Led Zeppelin
Kanye West
The Smiths :P
Metallica (wishful thinking)

Oh, and a supergroup made up of Keith Moon, Kurt Cobain, Dee Dee Ramone and Stevie Ray Vaughan...

Pretty sure they're just a flash in the pan indie band who'll disappear soon
