hi all,

well its been a good few months since i have been on this forum and have reguarly been a poster over the last good few years. as its glastonburys year offf, so have i taken one off,,. I have decided to run the
Edinburgh Marathon in May! and for those that remember me from the glasto world cup i am no marathon runner! so ill use the word run very loosely!

I ask that you take the time to read the info on the page www.justgiving.com/pedromiller , its all in aid of scottish autism, i have worked with autism now for 6 years and its a great cause. if any of you have a spare quid that you feel generous enough to donate, that would be great ... no amount donated shows up so theres no pressure. I know that us glasto goers have hearts of gold, so even if you dont want to donate have a wee look, i put some fun photos on the  page.....had

aside from the advertising my charity.. i am off to see springsteen on the 22nd june in manchester and flying off to bulgaria the next day for a weeks holiday, that will sort out the glasto blues!

hope your all keeping well, and if you could please have a wee look at the page and info even if you dont want to donate...

love and peace,,, til next year! oh and i am off all drink etc for the marathon, even had to torture myself making my  fiance a bacon sannie this morning whilst i stick to my regular porridge,, Arggghhh,

cheers ya all

I've decided not to ignore your appeal, so have donated. Hopefully others will follow.

Good luck.  Respect due, training for a marathon. I thought I was doing well running 5k.

Also support for autism charity is fantastic.  I have an autistic child and know h0w important charities are in helping people with autism.

hi all,

well good news is i have burst my fund raising target so the pressures on for me to make the 26.2 miles now.,. but its a great cause. ill stop bumping a thread for charity after this post.

as a runner, i have beeen a regular 5km runner x 3 times a week over the past few years, however a year and a bit ago i managed a half marathon,, nevver entered it, just done it on a mission to get fit,

im now on a bit of  strict regime as this is just a little more of a challenge than i am used to, plus i am 10 lbs over weight that i neeed to be for my optimum running weight. lose it or not ill manage. as an example i am off the drink all year til bruce springsteen gig in june, strictly 3 meeals a day, no extra chocolate or sugars.. on sunday the dog jumped on the bed at 530am, the bugger he isl.. woke me up, so i decided to get up and just drive to my gym which didnt open til 8am. i got ready and went for a run round the city, after mapping it tunred out i done 18km in 1hr 45. the week before i done 13.5 in an hour... i just need to now stick to a schedule, not peaking too soon and dong ONE long run every sunday building up to 20 miles a few weeks prior to the marathon. no easy taski!!!!!!!
plus once a week i have strength training in a gym who are really really helping me. ... so in short, i aint no runner, but i have what it takes if i discipline myself.,, like glasto, this is my fallow year,, no drinkk, no smoke and sort myself out,, instead of war on want the charity will be scottish autism.

thanks for all your interest and support., burst my fund raising target already and have a major raffe in the work to go wth some big big prizes donated by businesses and sportsmen...

i9ll let you know how i get on, if you want to follow it, www.justgiving.com/pedromiller

failing that iol be falling around lost in a ffield for the 20 odd year anniversiary of my first glasto,

Loving kindness to you all!!!!!
El Pedro

thanks for all your interest, i beli9eve in kiarma big time... :)
