AMAZING!! And it will be around 50-60 bands in total!!
Hultsfred is a great festival in Sweden!! Beautiful location beside a lake at the countryside, 3-4 hours drive from Stockholm. Last year it only came around 10000(?) visitors. But I think it will grow this year and have around 20000(?) visitors....
Hultsfred is an old and respected festival in Sweden, but in 2009 the festival went bankrupt. In 2011 it started again with new owners and is now expanding!

what about prices, it is expensive in Scandinavia I think? what is the price of a normal (not light) beer?
can you get a (normal, not light) beer at the festival?

It is not cheap in Sweden. Much like in the UK I believe? A beer will cost between 35-55 Swedish crowns, 4-6 Euro (don´t know the exact price). You can buy beer at the festival area and I think it is normal beer, not light beer!
On other festivals in Sweden, it is special "beer-areas". But at the Hultsfred you can walk around with your beer wherever you want, but you must be 18 years of age to buy one. You can not bring alcohol from the campsite to the festival area!
Other drugs are completely banned and you do not see much of them at festivals in Sweden.

I think the closest and cheapest is to fly with Ryanair to Skavsta [NYO]. From the airport you go to Nykoping which is the nearest town. From there you can book tickets with a bus company called "festivalbussen" that runs to various festivals in Sweden. The bus company website is http://www.festivalbussen.com/ Unfortunately, they have bad information in English, but they go from most major cities in Sweden. If you fly to Stockholm or Malmö instead, you can go with festivalbussen to Hultsfred Festival.
Other ways to travel in Sweden:
Train: www.sj.se
http://www.veolia-transport.se
Bus: www.swebus.se
Or, rent a car. It is about 20 mil (120 english mile?) from Skavsta to Hultsfred Festival - 2,5 hours drive.

this is my favourite line up of this summer. tickets and flights bought. flying to kopenhagen and from there by train...
hoping to have Noel G and New Order on the line up as well and some nice bands from Sweden (Little Dragon, I Break Horses, Korallreven) and then I'm totally happy with it

Really great lineup. I don't have a clue how to get there and would end up travelling alone so I think I'll be sticking to UK festivals this year but this is still really tempting.

Cracking Line up and for a decent price too (165 quid for camping)......
However a major pain in the backside to get to. From UK you're talking 2hr flight plus about 3-5 hours either train or bus ride to the festival site. Plus on the train you have to change trains. Then the same on the way back.
That's a lot of travel for a Festival.
We're going to Sziget in Hungary this summer. 2 hr 30 mins flight straight into Budapest and then next to no extra travelling time required, 20 min cab ride to our digs and straight on it!
