You got an idea what the price increase will be?

Though lord copping said he was gonna try and get it in before the price increase! God damn!

AC just said on twitter he's just confirmed his 5th band for the announcement and he's aiming for ten. Surely he should have booked more bands than that by now?!

Fron what was booked this time last year, I think we've got some big names out there already.
If he sells it right, and more people buy tickets, it's more cash to book bigger better bands... think he's trying to sell this 10th DL big time.

I see what you mean, but I always thought if he's confident about announcing bands in certain slots, then he has a fair idea of who else is going to be playing on what day/stage. I didn't realise that wasn't necessarily the case!

You need to read exactly what he's saying, he says he's booked 5 for the announcement, he may have others booked - no doubt will, such as Steel Panther, Enter Shikari etc who have tours to sell first.
Plus there might be a bunch of lower acts he has booked he doesn't want to announce yet, or only a certain amount of a certain genre he wants to announce etc

Please just give me Cancer Bats. This years line-up is so strong already there are very few 'big name' acts that could likely get announced left on my wish list.
Just praying that this year doesn't turn out like 2010 when the first couple of announcements were huge then we had that 15 band announcement & the forums went into meltdown.

Tbh now if it was mostly unknown bands now it wouldn't even be that bad. We've going to have some big names headlining the second stage but there's already loads of big names on the bill.

Lower Than Atlantis tour finishes on the 27th? Anyone reckon they could be back? Playing early in the day on second or afternoon on third?

Just seen this, new announcement will be an advert in next weeks Kerrang, and up on the website and twitter at 9am 1st Feb, at the moment he has 9 acts ready for the announcement, but wants at least 10, might go to 12 acts.
At least one of the new acts will be a Second Stage headliner.
Tickets will be on sale at this years price until midday Thursday 2nd, then go back onsale at 5pm same day

Four Year Strong are on the Blink 182 tour, playing London (Download weekend) with them on Friday but not the Saturday and then rejoining the tour in Dublin on Tuesday.
Makes them available for any time on Saturday or Sunday

Good stuff! So that's definitely Evanescence then, if they are playing.

I hope they don't waste a big slot on evanescence. I just think they can do much better with a 10th anniversary.
I think maybe Andy does have blink for Sunday second stage. I wouldn't mind Weezer in the slot under soundgarden but if stone sour are available to play they could do either of those slots. If ss are not available I'd like a Corey solo set somewhere.
I'm looking forward to seeing who is playing the fridaynight slot 2nf also opposing prodigy.
I'm hoping for a return of limp bizkit too.
Has Andy ever said anything about pixies?

People keep mentioning that it should be a better line-up as it's the 10th anniversary, are Download actually making a big deal of it being 10 years? Is there anything on the posters/site about it or in any of the announcements? It may be that people are expecting a big deal when Download aren't even considering celebrating 10 years with anything out of the ordinary.
