There is only one band you can justifiably say this about. And they sure as hell haven't booked Led Zep.
Any other band. i can believe it.

No need to apologise, I wasn't pulling you up or anything, I just didn't want you thinking that no one was interested and also thought you maybe interested in what people thought about it.

I'm listening to Real Radio XS, they said that ACDC are touring soon in the UK as part of there world tour, this could be right before Soni and a possible headliner

Well somebody posted a rumour on the Soni forums the other day there saying they heard from a friend who works for XFM that it's AC/DC or something. Although I think most just took it with a pinch of salt

ac/dc = not going to happen, if you knew the backstory of what happened re-their booking at download, you would know that.

Also, ACDC isnt that unbelievable. Having seen them at Download, I would go out of my way to see them again.

I would say that AC/DC is untrue, as far as I am aware Brian Johnson hasn't been too well recently and the band are looking to a tour in 2013 though this will be much shorter than the recent 18 month Black Ice Tour.

Sounds like Monday is the announcement day with it being in Kerrang on Wednesday and tickets going on sale on Friday.
I have always thought Lostprophets would play, I could easily see them headlining the second stage.

Would not totally be surprised to see RATM headline the same day they headline 2nd. It's not official I don't think but at Download when they headed rumor was RATM were set t but pulled out. Rumor was Foo's werre going to but pulled for own tour too so The Offspring got bymped up. And Prophets under Rage makes more sense than Offspring under Rage.
Likely to get a leak Sunday night or something? We pretty much know we'll have some bands by 9am Monday.

Are you saying that Rage and Foos were supposed to headline download in 08?

I'm hoping the placebo announcement is something to do with Soni, if placebo headline I will be there.
some people on the official board saying placebo arent big enough to headline soni? get a grip. if biffy are big enough to headline, Placebo will fucking piss it. Their fanbase is huge (and worldwide) and their back catalogue is sublime.
the biggest drawback is that they are widely considered a "Reading" band, having played it so many times previously. I just hope they are doing soni.

I would love Placebo to headline but it won't happen... they sub headlined last time and they haven't done anything to go higher and it's not like their new album will set the world on fire.
I could see them and Lostprophets headlining second though,

...and if so, what are you basing this on?
No supposed to about it mate. I said rumor goes, nothing official. Somewhere I read on boards a while back. This is purely a if something like that was going to happen, it might be a nice win for Soni to get it.
But no evidence like anything else. RATM were in the mystery header so but this is suggestive purpose only. All we know is that The Offspring and Prophets headlined after pullouts, well, I've never read anything official to state but there's no chance that they were big enough to headline when they did. R&L crowd is the forefront for Prophets and not a chance of headlining. Offspring used to be but more say Soni would be now which I can agree with.

I don't think anyone is saying it because they don't think Placebo belong at Sonisphere. Placebo played sonisphere in 2010 afterall, but they subbed then and that was under Rammstein who weren't the biggest headliner of the weekend. So it's unlikely they'd be bumped up to headliner as they haven't really got any bigger since 2010 have they? I love them anyways, so do hope they play again

I didnt say people were saying they dont belong at soni, I said people didnt think they were big enough. my argument is that they are way bigger than biffy, so its quite conceivable that they could headline
