Think they would headline the second stage against the Cure if they played?

That would make no sense, they are both older acts and if The Cure headline something that would appeal to the main demographic of the fest mainly young 'uns would be put on NME instead.

Would I be ridiculed for saying I'd almost prefer them to book Cornell to do his solo stuff?

Not really. The night I saw soundgarden they fell apart on stage before my eyes. Started well but 4 songs in it was clear that they just wanted the gig to finish. In the end, Cornell came on, played black hole sun on his own and saved what was an extremely poor gig. I've since been told they split up that night, it looked like they already had.

Have no real interest in seeing them again.

I'd watch Cornell.

PS: Moby kicked their arse playing animal rights.

Nah, shorter set time and dicks in the crowd being bored because they are there to see Foos. Rather have them in the NME tent myself. So what happened to your tune from last year that they would only headline? xD
If they played in the tent it would be the same set length as subbing.

I don't think it'll happen but if Soundgarden did headline the tent I'd imagine they'd get a longer set than the subs do, like Jane's Addiction and Faith No More did.
