That would be amazing! Where did you see this? The B of Blur does look a little photoshopped, and Inspector Cluzo missing from the current poster on official website

It does seem a bit out of alignment if you look really closely, doesn't it?

Would be awesome, though.

were going this year for the second time. We went last year and camped. We fly out from manchester on the tuesday and have a night in a hotel before going to camp on the wednesday.  Last year after setting up the tent we caught the bus down to the town (takes ten minutes) and got beer and some food to take up to the campsite.

There were quite a few english folks out there but the spanish kids are cool. They do tend to smoke a lot of weed and arent huge drinkers so there was never a queue for drinks.

The toilets werent that great (holes with space for your feet either side) but the site was cleaned everyday.

you can catch the coach to variuos places from the main station quite cheaply. We took the bus for a few days to san sebestian which is really pretty.

It was however cool and rained some last year, i had packed for sunny spain so had to go out and buy some trousers....luckily had took my pac-a-mac, so remember a jumper

They have porta loo's inside the festival and in the second campsite. The showers were great but freezing cold unless you woke up really early, but in the heat you dry off really quickly and its nice to cool down when its boiling hot at 7am.

Im 80% sure im going this year, and would most likely get the ferry. I know the Pride of Bilbao stopped sailing a few years ago but there will be another ship sailing. The ferry is like an addition to the holiday, casino, cinema, cabaret, restaurants, duty free, swimming pool, spa. Its pretty fun.

Hey all, just got tickets for this festival, first time going having been to Bennicassim last year. I have a few quick questions, does anyone that has been before know how the wristband exchange works and when it's open? We'll probably arrive at the campsite around 9.30pm on the Weds, was wondering if we need to get wristbands prior to entering the campsite or not. Also for during the day before music is there much to do on site or is it better to head into Bilbao? And is there buses to get to a beach in the day?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm a bit over excited ha! One last thing, are people expecting much in the way of further announcements, in particular a 3rd headliner (not sure if garbage are headlining or not). The lineup already looks good to me but it'd be nice to have a bit more on the Saturday.

Thanks, Dan.

Hi Dan

I have never been to the festival it’s a first for me this year! But I will answer what I can...
According the website...The camping area will be available from 6pm on Wednesday 11th of July until 2pm on Sunday 15th of July.
Wristbands...
Opening hours to exchange tickets for wristbands will be as follows:
Thursday 12 July – TBC
Friday 13 July – TBC
The wristband will allow you to enter and leave as many times as you like, from your first entrance into the site until 5 in the morning. If you leave after that time, you will not be able to access the site again until 16:30h the next day even if you have a wristband.

From that I would take that you don’t need a wristband to go to the campsite as you can’t pick wristbands up until Thursday.

Apparently the bus connections to Bilbao are great and from what I gather most people head into Bilbao, the music doesn’t start tile around 4pm each day, Headliners on in the early hours of the morning (which I think is great!) so it gives you a good chance to explore, eat drink whatever in Bilbao.

Further announcements, YES I’m expecting a few and the festival have confirmed that Garbage are not the 3rd headliner. Someone recently asked on twitter and BBK replied that the announcement will not be within the next two weeks :(

I'm getting super excited for this, our group have are trying to learn some Spanish which is necessary in this area, anyone else giving it a go?

Thanks a lot for the reply mate! Thats what I'd assumed about not needing wristbands to enter the campsite, I was just a bit worried as we're gonna turn up lateish we might get caught out.

Thats good about the other headliner as well, shame it's not gonna be announced a bit sooner!

We're thinking of trying to learn a bit of spanish though not sure how far we'll actually get with it!

Wonder if they've even got the 3rd headliner sorted? Isn't it odd to put off for this long?

To BBK veterans

Are there any restrictions regarding food and drink being brought into the campsite? I know the usual stuff about no glass bottles that you get at every festival, but do they have any problems with people bringing in food or beer cans? Planning on going to a supermarket near the shuttle in the morning before to stock up on provisions for the weekend.

More names added...

Keane, The View, James Murphy, Pat Mahoney, We are Augustines, Awolnation and The Black Belles

It would seem from the latest poster on the festival website that Garbage are going to headline day 3. Nothing against Garbage, I like them, but a bit of a shame. Seems BBK have struggled to fill that 3rd headline slot. I don't even think they've started selling individual day tickets for Saturday yet.

Ah yes, just confirmed on Twitter. Keane and Garbage 'co-headlining' Saturday night. ie - "Spent all our money on Radiohead and The Cure"!
