Soundgarden would be great, but Pearl Jam would be better. I think Pearl Jam are playing europe around the time of T.
Tenacious D would be good to warm up the crowd either middle of the afternoon or Sunday main stage first thing.

Out of them Tenacious D / Soundgarden possibly but more likely to wait til Reading/Leeds...can see Biffy being put off til next year with that announcement
Chase & Status, I just can;'t see being back this year tbh.

2b honest its all about the sonisphere announcement. I think thats on the same weekend. I reckon there might be a few off that at T. I guess time will tell but I think we might get a "one off" act as one of the headliners. Dont ask me who tho cos I havnt got a F^&(&£$G clue!

Would like Chase & Status back. Missed them last year. Was not missing The Strokes! Could see them headline Tuts or NME stage.

Agree there.
I can't think of a year where T has shared any of the established bands from Download, let alone headliners.
I suggested Pearl Jam as more likely than Soundgarden as it looks like they are playing dates at that time and they share the same drummer. However, they haven't played Scotland in 12 years, so that might be a bit optimistic.

Cant see any of them unfortunately, I still think Biffy will be headlining next year, Tenacious D I dont think have the appeal unfortunately, Pearl Jam are playing over the T weekend so that pretty much rules Soundgarden out, I dont think C+S will play a 2nd year in a row, possibly Rockness and YM@6 are probably the most likely but perosnally they are not my cup of tea, obviously this is all speculation but I dont expect to see any of these bands in the TITP announcement

Chase and Status returning would suit me nicely, loved them in 2011. Would also take Biffy and YMAS happily, but would only see YMAS if nothing else was on, seen them about 3 times already.

Think Rockness could get Chase and Status and Biffy this year, the latter probably headlining there and T next year. Off the rest of those announced at a long shot can see Soundgarden headline NME and maybe a guest appearence from Tenacious D. Agreed that the Sonisphere announcement might mean more to us.

Soundgarden won't play T for the same reason that they won't play Soni, Matt Cameron is drumming with Pearl Jam that weekend and it's highly unlikely he'll fly to the UK to do one gig with Soundgarden when he's in the middle of a tour with Pearl Jam (especially since Soundgarden would have already completed their tour and played Download).

YM@6 probably the most likely of those to be booked for T but I'd love to see Tenacious D being booked. Would be happy with Biffy/Soundgarden too, don't see it though.
