In terms of monitoring crowd sizes, surely they're already experienced enough to use their eyes & fairly accurately estimate crowd sizes.
If this is used, it'll only be for access reasons using Registration details. Then if it's succesful, they may slowly introduce further applications over the coming years.
Personally, I just don't care about Big Brother society. People know where I am & know what I eat & drink. Big deal
Theres bound to be some pain at entry, but I reckon this could alleviate the worst of it
