You guys should check out bloc festival. It looks like the area around the festival this year should be pretty sweet. They are talking about having floating stages there this year!

previous years its been down in minehead butlins which was always a pretty special weekend.
I think though it might work in east east london though.

They've got some big stuff coming out in the spring this year. They did a remix of a track that's coming out on Planet Mu by Distal and HxdB called "Booyant". Their version sounds big. Basically a rework with parts played on cello and sax. Its a shame that practically none of the tunes on that mix are out yet, but I'm sure it will happen.

You can hear their remix in this mix.

Getting lude and rude in Butlins. Gurning with the redcoats, then crashing in a tent and being sick all over your quilt. Standard.

Its an important year for the dance village I reckon, as IMO its been going steadily downhill over the last few years with too many poor acts under the loose umbrella of 'dance' (eg N'Dubz). The whole village needs redesigning to give it some vitality, some of the bigger acts need reclaiming from the Glade and Other stages and it needs to attract the best of each genre by allowing experts in the field to book the acts and host the tent (eg Cocoon, Hospitality, Annie Mac presents etc). Also crossover dance/indie/whatever acts should be booked (Metronomy spring to mind)

On a personal level get in some good cosmic disco acts- Todd Terje is on fire at the minute (not literally)

Dance village is a really shit layout. I cant be arsed to go through it but all your points are valid, except 'indie/dance' crossover is already there e.g. Metronomy played last year in one of the tents.
east/west dance and wow stage are particularly shit and although i love the idea of cube henge im yet to see an act getting everyone going on there.

Less of the ndubz and more of dub pistols. Peace.

Going back to what was being previously discussed, I think it's massively important to seperate the evolution of Bro-step (i'm sure we all know what I mean by that), from what would have been previously known as dubstep. There's still some good actual dubstep out there.

With regards to possible acts, saw Loadstar last night, although a bit mainstream in places, were very good. Also wouldn't mind the return of Jamie XX. I know some people don't like him, but his Glasser remix has been getting me through this weekend. Don't know if he'll be doing much now The XX are back, and will probably be at Glasto '13.

Ok,
Here's an idea... what about some more European representation, like some of the bigger names from the Berlin house and techno scene. For example an Ostgut-Ton set, maybe including Dinky, Steffi etc. or Bar25 Djs like Jake the Rapper, Nu. Lesser known but even better would be to get the Bachsteltzen guys on the case. Those guys can play for days and keep things fresh.

Other than that, I would like to see...

2562
Robag Wruhme
Hunee
Maxmilion Dunbar
Giles Smith
Generally more of the disco scene!

Safeys :sarcastic:
