It was only yesterday that I posted how much I miss Glasto and the all the talk on the forum, and this morning efestivals has posted that Glasto has already booked all three headliners
http://efestivals.co...2/120112a.shtml
They also reckon one of the headliners is Lady GaGa, not my cup of tea but no one can deny she is one of the biggest acts in the world.
I think that little bit of info was just the fix i needed, who do we think the other headliners will be
im gonna go for
Arcade Fire and Radiohead

let, on 12 January 2012 - 09:15 AM, said:"booked" is an overstatement I reckon (I've just asked that the story is changed). Eavis says 'sorted', which probably means that there's three acts who've indicated they'll do it but that things might not slot into place when the time comes to properly firm things up. There might be one of those three who've taken a firm booking but I doubt all three will have committed themselves to something 18 months in the future. It was only yesterday that I posted how much I miss Glasto and the all the talk on the forum, and this morning efestivals has posted that Glasto has already booked all three headliners

One that might have been likely to have committed to something that far in advance is Gaga I reckon, if the stories are true of her amazingly long string of dates ... I'd have thought that she's got to be a very strong contender given her current popularity and Glastonbury seemingly happy to have pop acts as headliners (in contradiction to Eavis's statement a few years back of no more pop headliners).

Yeah, i've just read the newsbeat article where it says he's 'sorted' the acts, but he also says he's 'got the bands that want to play'. Don't know if he is suggesting that all three headliners are bands, which Lady GaGa isn't, or maybe i'm reading too much into it.

As for him saying 'bands', again I take that as a general comment, to mean 'acts'. I find myself saying bands a lot of the time whedn I'm really meaning acts - it's an easy thing to do.

PS - another good guess would of course be Stone Roses - after all, they owe Glastonbury a headline gig and both Brown and Mani have a liking for the fest.

Oh yeah, forgot about them, and they're supposed to be recording new material

I'll have a guess at: Lady Gaga, Radiohead, The Stone Roses.

I like the way you say Gaga may well be one of them yet she's not even rumoured... haha
Argh, it's so long to wait for the next one, I'm literally putting off travelling until after Glasto so it better be a good one

This is just such good news overall
Makes such a change when all the news ever seems to be sometimes is unwelcome. Long live Mr. Eavis !!

i'd have a punt at Florence, Gaga and Stone Roses although i'm not sure about which days....i'd guess that Adele will be in the mix somewhere to assuming she's got over here big venue fear by then....

Do we think The Rolling Stones is not going to happen now?
Time is no longer on their side...

Cant see Florence headlining after Glasto taking a year off. Eavis will want to come back with the biggest headliners he possibly can, Id go for Radiohead, Gaga, Stone Roses.
I for one will be there watching if it is gaga, I reckon with the right type of chemicals in me it will be a rollercoaster ride for the senses and she'll rip the pyramid field to shreds.

i'll join you....i predict a load of naysayers banging on about 'Glasto is for guitar bands' etc and 'Gaga should stay at 'V''.....but i'm certain she'll put on a hell of a show.

One thing's for sure in 12 months we'll still be debating who's going to headline!!

I'm just hoping for tickets!
Love to see the Rolling Stones, not a huge fan of Gaga but she puts on a great show. Radiohead always seem to be there in one way or another. Time for another headline slot?
Do you think The Prodigy could possibly be Pyramid headliners? You wouldn't need many chemicals then Swede!!
