Myself and 2 other mates have just bought tickets to Benicassim 2012. We have all been going to Leeds fest since 08, but want to venture. I just have a few questions:

1. What it the atmosphere like? is it full of rowdy mobs, or is it a more chilled vibe?

2. Camping. I've read about getting shade etc, but what is it like during the night? How many hours sleep should i be expecting?

3. Are there better/worse places to camp? Quieter spots/ popular spots?

Any advice on the following would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I went last year for the first time...

1. Lots of English people attend, more than I expected!
Atmosphere on the campsites is good, they have big bar tents on every site so don't camp too far away from one.

2. I bought a cotton tent to try and get a bit of extra sleep, didnt make much of a difference!
You'll be up at 8-9am and head straight for the showers.

3. Can't remember where we camped, they all looked pretty similar and are layed out in grids.
We camped right near a small wall, which was brilliant. Everyone came over to the wall to sit/drink/talk on it.

We all had a good time, I rented a car which was great to drive to McDonalds and sleep in with the AC on.
You don't need that much spending money either, booze is really cheap at the supermarkets and a few bars sell 1L san miguel for 2 Euros I think.
Get down to the beach bar, towards the far right side and have a san miguel and lime (on tap) it's a perfect drink in the heat.
The resturaunts are generally pretty poor, all serving the same crap... didn't find anything decent.

First time going this year as well. Booked the Villacamp tickets for camping as numerous places advised this was a good option if you've got the extra cash.

Very chilled, definitely bring tons of tinfoil to stick over your tent and keep the sun out though. If you're worried about sleep, get a Villcamp ticket. I stayed in Villacamp in 2010 and it was a lot more spacious and shaded. Also bring a lot of ant repellant because the ants there are the size of dogs.
